**Role Summary:**

The Product Service Engineer (PSE) provides technical support for the Aeroderivative gas turbines packages operating in the field. The PSE will interface with the end user (customer), Field Service, and internal GE teams to resolve technical field issues. The PSE will also be responsible for field investigations and providing technical support during the installation and commissioning process of new units.

**Essential Responsibilities:**

As the Product Service Engineer, you will:

+ Provide remote technical support of the GE Aero LM product lines (LM2500, LM6000, LMS100, etc.)

+ Oversee technical Installation & Commissioning activities

+ Support initial investigations into significant field events

+ Provide technical support to Aero Energy customers and GE customer facing team via ServiceNow systems, by phone or in face-to-face meetings

+ Participate in customer issue discussions

+ Identify reoccurring issues for possible fleet containment and/or product improvement

+ Support test cell troubleshooting


+ Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited university or college

+ Minimum of 5 years of gas turbine technology experience


+ Ability and willingness to work off-hours and travel as required

**Desired Characteristics:**

+ Understanding of LM products

+ Understanding of controls or electrical systems

+ Proven knowledge of Woodward and/or control systems

+ Working knowledge of electrical systems, Generators, AVR, and IGPS

+ Ability to read technical drawings (one-line diagrams, controls logic, schematics, P&ID, etc.)

+ Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and/or controls related issues

+ Strong knowledge of Aero Engine, package, and systems

+ Commercial sensitivity with a focus on customer needs

+ Previous field support experience

+ Demonstrated ability to represent company in customer communications

+ Demonstrated ability to interact successfully in a heavily matrixed organization

+ Demonstrated team player

+ Proven interpersonal skills

+ Strong written and verbal communication Skills

+ Strong computer skills

+ Self-starter
