Credit Approver-Community Banking-CRE

Manages Credit Approval activities for a number of diverse and complex portfolios in the Community Banking group. Approves CRE loans in excess of business unit authority levels, ensuring conformity with bank policies and procedures with minimal supervision. Develops guidance policies. Monitors delinquency, loss and risk rating accuracy across groups of regions, states and/or business units. Works with Portfolio Managers with structuring, pricing and documentation of larger CRE loan transactions. Monitors and reviews group's loan underwriting and portfolio management performance for senior management/regulatory agency review. Analyzes new business prospects.



- Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent work experience

- 15 or more years of experience in Commercial or Corporate credit analysis, structuring, approval and portfolio management

- 5 or more years of management experience

- Previous CRE lending experience including construction loan management

Preferred Skills/Experience

- Expert knowledge of credit and lending policies

- Demonstrated analytical and risk analysis skills

- Advanced knowledge of organization, business practices, business philosophy, and ethics

- Demonstrated management and leadership skills

- Well-developed customer service/relations skills

- Excellent verbal and written community skills
